Lot 34 was founded in 2023 in Istanbul. Named after the term “lot” which describes valuable artifacts that are up for auction and the regional code of the city it was created in, “34”; the design house draws inspiration from pieces of art and the distinguished qualities which make them completely unique and one of a kind.

 

The designer Burcu Kavkacı grew up admiring the rich cultural heritage of her city, thanks to the tours of Istanbul guided by her father when she was in elementary school. She was moved so deeply, especially by the texture and craftsmen of Kapalıçarşı, that this magical place later became the main source of inspiration for the first ever collection she designed. During her formative years, she spent great amount of time in Beyoğlu, a district close to her heart that made her feel even more connected to the city. Following her undergraduate degree in various academic areas such as archeology, art history and media studies; she found herself at a crossroads that led her to Paris for an intensive course on fashion design. Her time abroad motivated her to embrace and showcase the deep cultural heritage of her roots and share its treasure with the world, weaving this very philosophy deep in the DNA of her brand. 

 

Lot34 pieces are formed using the highest possible quality of local materials and hand-crafted sustainably by the master artisans of Istanbul. In a time of fast consumption and temporary trends, Lot34 prioritizes longevity as each product of the brand is brought to life with the intention for it to stay timeless through generations.
